Shampoo and polish for new white D4 suggestions

    Hi

My Defender considered itself lucky to get an annual wipe down with a wet cloth and some lux flakes. Every few years some polish. I need to make a bit more of an effort on the D4

Ive read some threads and I'm pleased that I saved money on passing on the paint protection. Somebody (thanks) even posted a link to this impressive site

Car Care Products / Car Care, Car Wax, Car Polish, Car Covers, Car Detailing Products & more ...

Also saw a reference or two to Autoglym products.

I'm a bit lost with all the options. Can anyone help me out and just tell me what to buy? Shampoo, Polish, sponge/chamois.

Also I'm a little concerned about the leather (on the dash top and armrest especially) If youve been using something you like please let me know.

    Thanks for any ideas.

Autoglym is what i use .

Is the top of the dash and top of the door trims leather?

I also do our leather lounge with the leather care stuff, comes up very well, but it says not to use it on furniture.Don't know why,but never had an issue.

The top of the dash and door trims look like leather It has the leather interior option and it looks like the same stuff as the seats.

I used Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner on my D3. It works really well, but hard to obtain in Australia.

I've always used Autoglym, brought a pack of it with me when we moved out here last year. Hadn't seen it for sale anywhere until attending the recent RACV Motorclassica here in Melbourne and found Autoglym had a stand. Bought some more stuff, including the new wax tub ($100 a tub ) and I'm pleased I did. They posted the wax tub to me, arrived overnight so all good there.

I'd recommend just speaking to the company in the link posted above and have them ship you a pack of stuff. Given it's a new car just go for the super resin polish, glass cleaner & wash shampoo and you'll be fine.

A slightly bigger version of this pack

Car Care Products / Autoglym / Detailing Kits / All Categories / Polished Perfection Pack

I'd go for a bigger bottle of shampoo, it doesn't last long.

their glass cleaner is the best on the market in my opinion.
