Welcome to the forum
Hey guys, I've got a few odd noises coming outta my '93 200Tdi Defender, a bit of smoke, a few rattles, a few clunks and bangs etc...
My problem is, I don't really (yet) have much experience with a beat-up old Defender - perhaps all of this is perfectly normal, I just don't know! I don't want to waste time fixing things that ain't broke, but then I don't wanna drive her around until some very expensive part goes up in smoke. And suffice it to say, the only thing I trust my local LR mechanic to do is to empty my bank account .
Is there anyone in Brisbane (northside would be great!) who has a fair bit of experience, who can just drive her around for a while and tell me what's normal and what's not? Your help would get you a case of your favourite brew...
Sven
p.s. if not, is there a mechanic about who I can trust not to BS me?
