Have got 3. One each side of the main centre panel, and one up on the blank on D4 to the left on the instrument cluster.
Sturdy, tidy....they just work well.
Mine are called clicon....and I have them in my Touareg too.
Brett.....
Anyone else got these? I took a punt and bought a pair of these on eBay.
Brilliant kit, just clips on the side of the central console, mine came with a pair, the one on the right has a blank like the picture and I will mount my UHF mic on this. The other on the left has an iPhone holder ( don't have an iPhone, but I really only wanted the one for the mic, but I will hang onto it and see if my spot satellite communicator fits in, or maybe one day I'll get an iPhone.
Just clips back off if you want to remove it.

Have them for nearly nine years now in my Pajero. Takes my UHF remote head, charging cradle for an old Windows CE phone running OziCE, and the mic.
Have to say they really work well, but not really relevant for the D4 as I'll be going with a handheld UHF with remote speaker/mic, the iPhone can stay in the console cradle, and the iPad is too big to have out there.
Hi AnD3rew,
Can I ask where you found them on fleabay?
cheers,
Rick
I have been using these holders for years in various different cars.......
Mobile Phone & GPS Car Holders
Cheers, Craig
There are currently items available on eBay if you search for "brodit land rover (discovery 4, lr4)". Make sure the search is worldwide. The one up by centre vents is around $AUD37 delivered.
Brodit do a high and low mount for the D4.
I've used a high one designed for the RHD D4 for my phone but made my own bracket so that the phone is where I can see it.
I used a LHD low one for the UHF mic so it is on the drivers side. I cut the stand-off off at the base of the mount surface, angled the stand-off (by filing) so it pointed where I want it then glued and screwed the mount surface back on.
