    GoodYear 255/60R18

Need to replace a tyre on my 11month old D4 due to side wall damage but it seems the standard Goodyear 255/60R18’s are no longer available!!

And the best part is that obviously due to the nature of the vehicle it’s not possible to mix tyres and all tyres must match so it seems that I have to replace all 5 tyres!!!!

How can Land Rover Australia get away to that - it’s there a legal requirement to guarantee spare part and supplies for a fixed period of time?

Why not just put the spare on and get a new tyre for the spare. While not advisable as long as a tyre is the same size and type (ie p/LT, AT etc) there is no reason why an odd tyre could be used - particularly in a flat tyre situation.

If you search you will find a new spare of the same type if you ask around.

My spare which is the size and type you are after is a traded in unused tyre where a disco driver traded up - so many tyre dealers who fit out Discos may have some in their back rooms.

I think panels and parts are 7 years after model ceases, but consumables, well that's the manufacturers of the consumables issue.
    Rotten luck there mate.
Hopefully you should be able to get hold of one soon.
