The attached photo, which I hope loads properly, shows one of my D3 keys which is showing its age and is split on the top of each 'button' - obviously I drive it too much
Is there a replacement case? If so, where may I obtain one? Then, if I obtain one, is it difficult to remove the existing one? I am assuming from looking at it, I would just 'split' the case around the edges, remove and replace with the new one.
When you have all opened up, you might want to look carefully at where the battery is soldered to the circuit board. Apparently the soldering of the battery tabs may not be the best and is subject to cracking. That appears to be why some of the key fobs eventually do not seem to charge or function - the battery is OK however the power is not getting in and out of the battery.
