If it drove........."similar to my '92 110 Ute"........ I'd walk on by and find another

Hello everyone,
Atm my 110 ute is getting a bit tired and i'm looking to add another defender to my fleet to take over daily duties and longer trips.
I had a look at an ex-department of sustainability 2009 puma with 70k on the clock. After looking at it I would say its done a fair bit of work fully loaded.
Does anyone know what sort of work these defenders would've done or any info on them?
This is the car here eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d
The salesman said this was the only one they had through, but one of the cleaners alluded to the fact he had seen a few come through.
The car drove very well, similar to a new 90 I test drove and similar to my '92 110. My only concern was the air con didn't get cool in the 10 minute test drive i took.
The service book was full, generally mobile mechanics, but the only major failure i saw was the transfer case seal.
Cheers,
Joe

But that was similar to a new 90 i test drove, so i guess defenders just dont change.
It was similar to your dormobile but less direct and heavy though. A little bit more refined as well.
More refined than a Dorma, no way.

Check the interior for wear marks.
It may have just been a transport vehicle for the white collar workers to inspect the local trees.
Or it might have been loaded with fencing gear full time.
Might pay to pull the carpet up in the footwell, just to be sure.It could have come from stradie/frazer.
Serviced by mobile mechanics, thats a worry.

Cost difference between Britpart and Genuine seals: £2.04. Knowing that your brakes won't fail at any moment: Priceless.
Price seems fairly high to me given that it was around 48k - 52k new and has done 70,000 +km and is ex-govt.
Redbook has its value at $31k - $34k private sale, I must admit I would have no idea what they are actually selling for as i am not watching the market.
Why on earth would the gov be useing mobile mechanics?

Dont touch it with a 10 foot pole... My partner works for the Department of Sustainability, and I know how the vehicles are treated. They are flogged hard over rough terrain as none of the guys seem to care about the vehicles, because they dont belong to them.
