D4 tow bar bracket

Went to connect tow bar that came with the D4, for the first time but note the bracket to connect this to the car was absent?
Does anyone know if this should come with the car?

It was an optional extra for my 2010 but the dealer included it FOC, which I understand is done by a lot of dealers. If you've just bought the car new then I suggest you ask your dealer for one, FOC of course.

Ok, will have a go! A bit strange to include the tow bar and not the bracket?

Mine didn't have the tow bar or the receiver bracket when I took delivery in early 2010 but when I started asking questions at another dealer I was informed that the receivers were a standard part that should have been stored in the left rear compartment in the boot but some were missing in the early deliveries. I called my dealer and one was supplied and fitted on my next visit at no charge, together with the foam cradle to hold it in the storage compartment (but not a tow bar). Worth making the call to the dealer.

Thanks for this, it all came flooding back and the bracket was in its storage location. Too much to take in during delivery! Interesting nothing in the manual about it.
