			Diff oils and EGR blank

Yesterday I serviced my Dads MY2006 TDV6 Sport (second time I have serviced it).

Along with the usual service I changed the front and rear diff oils. I would assume that they were still on the factory fill at 105000km. I used Castrol SAF-XO oil.

The front diff oil was very black with a lot of sediment on the drain plug magnet. The rear diff oil was a lot clearer but still with sediment on the plug. I think it was well worthwhile to change the oils and I will do the transfer case at the next service.

I also fitted a BAS EGR blank kit. It was a pretty straight forward job. There was quite a lot of sludge in the intake, although not as bad as the pictures on the tutorial I found on the BAS website.

I think the blanking kit has already started working because after clearing the fault codes (an EGR code had been coming up regularly, but not bringing the check engine warning light on) I delivered the car back to my Dad and rechecked the codes - No EGR code . .
