Living in the Blue Mountains in the 70s with Dad the mechanic and Land Rovers in the family, I came upon an article in one of Dad's magazines where a couple from Sydney (architects, from memory) were to travel the world in a white Series 3 Land Rover wagon. Even at that tender age I remember being captivated by the adventure, the Land Rover and the whole freedom and travel thing. Ever since then (I'm 46) I have wondered what happened to them, where they got to and did they write a book/ make a tv special/ etc.
I would be very very grateful if anyone had any information, however small or seemingly unimportant, about these two people.
Funny how these things get to you, isn't it ?
Thanking you all in advance
Scott

The people I'm referring to were a couple - man and woman -he of tall stature and a beard and she was pretty (from memory) with long hair.
It wasn't the Leyland Bros or Jeff and Mare Carter but other people.
Their Series 3 Wagon was white and had a roof tent from memory
I don't know just why I need to find out about them but it is bugging me something horrid.would appreciate ANY leads

I can't say I've heard the story myself
Do you recall any of the places they had been, or were going?
It might help in finding some leads ...
I was reading through some old editions of "The Wanderer" last year and read the adventures of this couple, I put their site into my favorites and reading your post reminded me of it
I believe they lived in Adelaide from '75 so there is a possibility it could be them. It's an interesting adventure regardless.
