What do you guys think?? Opinions please

I think iveworked out my angle of restoration. Sort of going to go for a "rat" look, mechanical restoration but im wanting to leave the body as it is, just knock out a few dents and polish it up, perhaps run a logo on both doors faded to match the vehicles petina.

A ground up resto would be nice but in the end all the history and originality of that car is buried under shiney paint, its a rust free survivor with a service history dating back to 59, i dont think i want to water down what it is or how its survived over the years,
Some may disagree but in the end if restored its just another resto job, doing it the way im thinking will still let the old girl keep her soul

    What do you guys think??

Mine is pretty 'ratty', complete with dings and bare patches where the paint has worn through to the alloy. I like it. Buckets of character.

She starts first time, and is pretty good at hauling firewood out of the paddocks. Wish she stopped a bit better though!!

    I don't mind a rough look.

    Cheers

It's hard to make a decision with a photo.

    Even harder without one.

And yes I like the idea of leaving the character.

    Restor or not

It is totally up to you and just another one saved from Coca-Cola can is great.
Personally I like to put them back to the way they left the factory or as close as possible.

Ive just taken a stack of pics so ill get my IT expert ( teenager) to show me how to get them from my phone to here.
Ive found no rust any where, chassis is clean and front air vents are also good.
Ive found the original jack, wheel brace and crank handle so im pretty stoked to have those.
After a quick clutch adjustment i was able to drive it up to the garage so the tear down can start.
Is there anything i should be looking out for on tear down, bad spots for rust, cracks, wear ect and am i going to be putting a kidney on ebay to afford to replace the LHF guard or are they still readily available.
    Cheers
