Without any warnings occuring, only a clogged air filter springs to mind. Hopefully the cause is just something simple.
Hello I hope you are all well.
My d3 2007 2.7td HSE is going in for its 120,000 k service next week, I have some chugging issues when accelerating through 40 to 60....
Is this transmission or timing or what? Can I expect a five grand bill... I have heard that these are the main issues at about these k amounts

I hope so Graham. I have had a Raised air intake fitted previously maybe something is up with that....
I think it just needs the service...
So if it was the transmission or timing...would I get a warning?
It's more of a shuddering feeling rather than a jugging feeling...I am a bit worried about the transmission....from what I've read the shuddering is a real symptom and I will need to get the oil changed in the transmission.
I have since check the interweb and its obvious my gear box needs flushing

For what it's worth, I noticed some hesitation in my D4 while accelerating gently through the same 40 - 60 range a few weeks ago, generally just before each gear change. I was starting to wonder about maybe a transmission fault but then the car was diagnosed with a cracked inlet manifold so losing turbo boost pressure, which would explain the hesitation (at least in my mind).
Hope that helps.
