One the D2, at which point down the loom did you pull the pin out?

I think, besides the broken pin, that we can sort this one quickly and cheaply.
Well, wiring is not my forte LOL. My Disco came with an older Pioneer head unit, which as my dad is selling his Astra soon, he decided that I could have the newer Pioneer head unit that was in that. So we swapped thinking both being pioneer, they would just plug in and of we go. But as everything in my life never wants to go to plan lol, both stereos have no memory. So restart every time the cars are turned on. I asked around and was told that needed to swap the red and yellow wires with one another, and then all should be good. After spending ages actually getting the wires to come out of the plastic plug all the wires go into, i found that the yellow one was not going to fit where the red one had come out. So thought would just put them back, and then cut and splice the wires. Well the little metal prong clip thing broke on the yellow wire when i tried to put it back where it came from. So now my stereo doesnt even turn on, and the digital clock in my disco is no longer working. What have I done? I can figure out most mechanical things but electronics/wiring has me stumped. Other than needing to get a new metal prong clip thing. I am guessing some how I have blown a fuse? Or accidently unplugged something I shouldn't have?
What fuse would work the clock? I do have the RAVE program, so maybe looking through that will help. But then might not as its not a standard cd player.
Thankyou in advance AULRO. Please point me in the right direction to getting my clock working and my stereo workign and retaining memory! Both stereos were perfectly fine in either cars before we swapped too, kept memory fine.

i hope so LOL, I pulled it out at the plug that goes into the back of the head unit. I couldnt get the further plug out. But I had pulled the bunch of wires a fair way out of where they were sitting in there to get to it easier. Didnt pull hard but who knows what i may have accidently pulled out. I will go get a piccie
yellow wire with its broken prong clip thing. rest of clip is in the plastic plug.
i havent fiddled with this bit at all.

It's just the ISO -> Pioneer loom, so possibly easier to source an new one than trying to track down the correct pin.
You need to check which Aerpro model suits your head unit but this is an example:

This one looks like it has bullet connectors on the red and yellow lines to make it simpler to swap them around as required.
The clock will probably be either fuse 16 or 20, so no big deal.

thanksill check the fuses to see if ones blown. bullet connectors definately sound easier than these weird prong things!
all fixedgot one of those iso harness things and then found the blown fuse. was the reading fuse or something. what ever that one does i do not know but clock is working, and climate control keeps its memory as well now! easy fix after all that, thanks for all your help

Hi Lee,
Those ISO leads make light work of changing head units. Are you going to run a sub and amp in the back and use the RCA leads in the cargo area? Does depend how much cargo you're carrying. Some Disco owners make up a timber panel and mount the subbie in the side bin.
