Poor excuses there - the whole idea of being 'handsfree' is so you can wave !!
Heading north on Peninsula link in my white 90 this morning around 9.15 saw fantastic looking new silver 90 with pretty much everything fitted to it going south. Didn't get a chance to wave as I was on handsfree. Anybody on this forum own it?
Also apologies to the white 130 who I also didn't wave to cause I was on the handsfree!

Dude ... get off the handsfree!
You have responsibilities to your rellies.
Driving and handsfree is about all I can manage... I'm no multitasker like the opposite sex! Defender wave was one function too many!
I've fitted dual rear bars to a couple of nice silver Puma 90's recently. One of them is now in Townsville, but it might have been this one.

Murray,
What's the finish where the old wheel carrier used to be? That's an awesome piece of equipment that needs a proper presentation (looks, merits, ease of handling etc) presented to the minister of finance!
Carrying the second spare on the roof rack is a major pain in the proverbial! I'm 6'1" and pulling it down is most of the time a "drop and dodge" exercise followed by best effort to stop it bouncing away!
Is there an option for buying a replacement second "arm" to have the jerry can rack as well?
Kind Regards,
Lou
Murray,
That looks fantastic.. wish you could do one for D4!
Don't think it's the one I saw yesterday though.

G'day Lou,
My standard setup has the R/H carrier opening automatically with the door, so there's usually a metal plate on the door in place of the original wheel carrier. The owner of the 90 in the pictures above requested latches on both sides, so the holes in the door are simply filled with the bolts from the original wheel carrier. You could cover the holes with anything I suppose, such as some ally checkerplate for example.
Twin jerrys can be fitted to the L/H side. The arms are easily swapped.
See this thread for pics and more details >> Defender Dual Carrier <<
