    ARB wich bar fairlead

I'm thinking about chucking the wire rope on my winch and getting synthetic.

I have an ARB delux winch bar with roller fair lead so will need to swap that out for one of the solid non roller type ones. Anyone here done this? If so any advice on the neatest solution / suitable products would be appreciated.

I assume that there must be a straight swap replacement part for the fairlead (not just a different bar entirely).

Any pictures of people's bars with a swapped fair lead would be appreciated too.

    Cheers all,

    Ian.

You can also get Urethane rollers to replace the steel ones on your fairlead.

If you have your heart set on getting rope, good for you, its awesome stuff, light to pull out, doesnt hurt your hands, doesnt bind on the drum as bad and doesnt slice you open if it breaks.

On that though, it really needs to be looked after. Make sure you dont drag it over rocks, or leave mud on it too long. Ive heard a big killer is nicks and scratches in the alloy fairleads from the hook, it wears the rope really quick.

My choice would be to stay with steel if i had started off with it... can treat it rough and not worry, doesnt fray and wear (as easy)...

There is my 2p worth anyway

Not an ARB, but same concept on a Front Runner BB.

    Cheers,
