    Fabric -v- Leather seats

    G'day,
Just would like to get some opinions of whether to get leather or fabric seats, I am not too phased about the price for leather but was wondering if it is worth it. How does the fabric rate for durability etc.. Any help or suggestions would be great.
    Cheers

    Hi Dugal
Had both I prefer leather. Easier to clean, nicer feel and looks better IMO.
But at the end of the day it is a matter of personal choice.

I think fabric wears through more easily than leather, and leather has the ability to wipe clean.

But fabric doesn't burn your bum on a hot day

Leather.....but then I have always covered them up. Leather does need more maintenance to keep it looking nice, but will last significantly longer.
May also be more attractive for resale.

I wouldn't think about leather if you put animals in the car. They will scratch it to pieces. I love leather, fabric is good also.... but canvas is really where its at if you use it offroad.

I too would vote for leather. Have had both cloth and leather. Admittedly, I now cover mine due to so much time at the beach.

I think that leather probably requires more long term care to keep it looking really good. But for normal day to day care I think it is actuially much easier to clean and wipe up than cloth (I do have young kids and dog).

And your dog will scratch it if they are on the leather (ours is always in the boot), but the dog hair is much easier to vacuum off leather than cloth!

Go the leather, looks and feels great. Easy to clean, and isn't difficult to care for.
