    My D4 "failing to proceed"

    Damn! Stuck in Brisbane and not starting ~ battery is ok and SWMBO thought she had run out of fuel. I came to the rescue with 20l, but still won't go; fuel pump? I did note as I cycled through the errors screen that it came up Low oil on one occasion -hmmm but when checking oil level I get "not available" ~ maybe it's low and shut itself down?

    Oil level fine; RACQ agree its probably fuel pump (quick spray direct into air filter housing almost caught; fuses fine etc

    So like my D3 - fuel pump at under 50k, sigh, waiting for that bloody flat bed truck - Again!!!!!!

    They can be a pain at times to bleed, there is a Schroeder valve at the rear of the engine to bleed air from the lines.
    It is a pain with only one prison tho'

    Hope it gets sorted quick & painlessly for you.

    I must try to remember this - I know I was aware of it but needed to be reminded.

    ahhh, thanks Sniegy, I wondered that as I sat there waiting last night! The car was actually booked in at Australs' for a service (Thursday), so at least now they will also get to look at:

    Low fuel warning light coming on occassionally, AFTER filling the car up;
    Passenger window button (on drivers door) not working; and
    Start button "pause" - ie having to try more thna once to start car.

    All issues I have noted with at least one member here or on Disco3.co.uk.

    Lucky I love the beast - it does frustrate me at times!

    cheers!

    There's an update to the instrument binnacle that might be relevant if this continues.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Gordon, I'll see what they say.... I always like seeing if they mention these things first and then raising it if they dont; you get to see that blank stare..."oh, he knows more than I do..."
