Just happen to have a spare, where are you?
So I pulled the old girl apart, and checking over the turbo, I noticed a crack across the underside of the centre section of the exhaust manifold/turbine housing... I have a feeling this is gonna hurt...
Can anyone give me options? I think it's a Garrett part, though don't know if it's a shelf item, or whether an upgrade is more economical?

Though there were a few cheap..ish options on Ebay and a repair option offered (thanks Dave), I got one new including manifold centre section coming via Turbo Australia. The cost at $1350 incl. gst hurts just a little but if the $1100 one from Evilbay proved to be a Chinese knockoff, as in "Carrot" instead of "Garrett" that would hurt a lot more. 'Tis only money...
Picked up my shiny new turbo today, mmm... shiny. Haven't got as far as fitting it yet but the shiny head is on, tappets set, timing belt and tensioners done as well as injectors, lines and glow plugs.
I bet I'm not the first to torque the head down but forget to fit the air filter bracket?I guess if a job's worth doing it's worth doing twice.
Glad to know a bit more about the Deefa now.
