End of Summer Beach Party

Welcome to the Cheeky report
I pitched up at Harry’s place at 8am we packed up Harry’s new little toy and puttered up to the north.
The first thing I noticed spluttering along; almost making it to 80kph. Was that the driver was fully occupied with steering the vehicle, navigation of the said Land Rover was out of the question.
So along with doing the Left Turn indicator duties (arm out the window), I also had to navigate.
Eventually we arrived at the spit, via the scenic route, to find Josh staking out an area.

We set about pitching Gazebos and sat back to do a bit of Rover Spotting,

many, many arrived

Then more

Some we had to dispatch to the far side of the road

I am sure we had no idea why people would do such a thing

Some enjoyed the beach

Some watched on

Others relaxed


Then we fired up the BBQ



Then this happened

Thanks to all for coming to our BBQ on the spit,
thankfully the weather played our game this time and the sun shone all day

the BBQ got underway with a few small problems, reminder to self, sort out who is bringing the BBQ tools!
It was great to see you all and have a chat

Of course a gclro trip just can't go without some fwd'ing and some recovery training, hee hee!
