    Thumbs up My New Seats

    Hi all

    Happy chappy right now.
I picked up my newly re-upholstered front and rear seats the other day.
As previously mentioned, I had new bolstering and cushioning put in.
The bolsters were made a little larger.
Both front seats have pump up lumbar support and the rear seats have had defined cushioning installed.

All round very comfy and I'm bloody wrapped.
I had them done at Tylden Trim in New Gisborne and highly recommend them.

Below you'll find a you tube clip of the seats.
I ummed & ahhed about the red stitching on the new black trim, but I gotta say they look good.

    Cheers
    Mick

just wondering how much does that roughly cost?
I have been wondering whether to do some myself, buy new or get someone to re-upholster them

I originally got quoted around $800, but I think he gave me a special price.I paid $700 all up.Which is a bloody good price in my books. I still have access to both compartments under the seats and the seats are nothing like the originals.

I guess a long trip in the saddle will reveal how good they are, but I'm tipping I'll be feeling a ok. I definately recommend re-upholstery.

    Cheers

    Very correct.
It is installed very well, however I am moving it to the front of the driver seat box. Just not sure if it will annoy me or not.

    Thanks for that

Hi Mick, haven't spoken for a while. Seats look great and I was thinking your whole car looks pretty neat. I also like the steering wheel. Did you put that in and what sort of money are they? Don't forget if you're up Sydney way, give us a hoy and we'll show you some of the backyard; you won't have any shortage of takers to do that.
ps what's the orange thing at the top of the bullbar? A bug net?
    cheers Gerald

    Hi Didge
    Good to hear from ya.
    Hope alls been ok.
The steering wheel is a mono which I got off Ebay for around $70. Probably a copy.
Had to get a boss kit from UK to fit it. Put it all in myself.
The orange thing at front of car is a boab brand shroud. It has two sheets to it. What you see is the bug shield & the orange one is a thick plastic cover which I pull down when doing a lot of driving thru muddy bog holes. It helps keep some of the mud off the radiator etc.
I'm pretty happy with how the trucks been coming along. I'm gonna order my Ashcroft HD CVs & half shafts soon & save up for the allisport intercooler.
I pushed the seats up the priority list as my back was aching & I had the misses & kids on me back complaining about the comfort levels.

Id love to get up there sometime.
Just takes a lot of planning & time off work.

    Good to hear from ya.
    Cheers
    Mick

That's a great deal!!! I've been looking at replacing my seats, with full suspension or exmoor elite or puma. Also considered the retrim kits (not badly priced). Front and back for that price; is a good deal. Hope I can get something similar in my neck of the woods.

Thanks for the video! And showing off the seats!

How do you like the Exbox?

    Cheers,
    Mike
