Smile Cost Effective Maintenance for TD5

Anyone with a TD5 using the FTC Decarbonizer or Flushing Oil concentrate from Cost Effective Maintenance? If so is it recommended or any problems.
Also their other products, AW10 Antiwear and Cleanpower Fuel Treatment?

    hmmmmmmmm

oddly enough, i am going to beg to differ.

it has been my experience that if you only lightly use your turbo diesel then CEM FTC Decarboniser has something to offer you

if you regularly haul heavy loads you will see little benefit from it.

revving the crap out of it makes no difference if there is no strain on the engine.

if you rarely pull a heavy load for a sustained period or spend a fair amount of time in city traffic each day then FTC Decarboniser will make your turbo diesel run better, it did to several of mine.

and the effect was the same as hauling a decent load for 2 or 3 hours.

smoother running and a sweeter sounding motor..

the oil flush would be a waste of time on a td5 unless it has done some pretty serious mileage.

Agree, I was also under the impression the harder a diesel works, ie pulling weight, not hi revving the cleaner they run and less carbon build up in the valves, head and oil, after all that is one of the main uses for a Diesel engine moving heavy loads , that is why they have a hi torque output with low revs compared to a petrol engine.

Hmmm. Could this be the cause of my intermittent loss of torque at low revs?

I see this stuff is $120 per litre. How much do you need to use? And how often?
