    Tough Paint

    All,

    A question out there...

I've got a full set (20 no) of the old/ original wheel nuts for alloys. These are the type prior to the chrome capped ones we have fitted these days. They are pretty much identical except for the chrome cap (taper, washer etc).

I want to use them with my matte black ZU Alloys (currently running the OEM chrome capped ones, and its a long story why I want to change), but they are a little surface corroded and look a bit ordinary.

Is there a paint product or some industrial coating to tidy them up a bit that would stay on under normal conditions including using the wheel brace on them periodically?

    Advice and suggestions appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Lou

May not be the cheapest option......but get them chrome plated......
    In a nice black chrome.......

Otherwise.....just buff them up to a nice shine.....and coat them with some clear paint to seal them......

What about having them anodized in black. Edit: No, this won't work. The process will eat away at the steel.

Might be able to help out. I'll check with the Machining mob we use.

Will let you know over the weekend.

    Cheers, Jurgens.
