Very unprofessional, he is freakishly good though, I remember 1st seeing him in last year's Tour of California and I think he won 4 or 5 stages out of 7 !
SBS One will be screening Paris-Roubaix on Sunday 7 April from 9-30 pm to 1-30 am, which is a race on bicycles over cobblestones, so rougher roads than a lot of off-road vehicles will see. Peter Sagan will probably be in it but hopefully better behaved, he has been accused of being immature over some of his celebrations when crossing the finishing line first.
Paris-Roubaix is a must see for cycling fans.
My old roadie is the frame Cannondale developed specifically for that race over a decade ago.
Lots of cobbles and usually lots of mud and hence carnage.
Fat tyres, often 36x3 cross spoked wheels and canti brakes, it's more like a 'cross race than a road one.
I remember years ago watching a bunch of blokes that had all piled up trying to clip back into their road pedals and failing spectacularly as they were so caked in mud and thinking "why aren't they using Time or SPD MTB pedals ?"![]()
Well Fabian Cancellara (sic?) has won two races in two weeks. This week he could make it 3/3 in the Amstel Gold Race that SBS One is showing at 10-30p.m. to 2-05 a.m. from Limburg in the Netherlands.
