anyone put a land cruiser ute tray on a 110 defender

i might be able to get a 75 series land cruiser steel tray for cheep and was thinking about chucking it on my defender but im just wondering how well it will match up. im not expecting it to bolt strait up into the existing mounts but i am hoping that i wont need to chop it up lengthen or shorten it or have to make any major changes to it. so long story short has anyone put a cruiser tray on there 110 defender or looked into doing it?

Although not to a 110, I've shortened by 2 floor panels a Githsam aluminium tray to siut the length required to fit my Puma 130.
The tray has C channel chassis rails running front to back, I simply fitted 150mm C sections across to align the tops of the chassis and bolted where required.
It only took my wife and me about 2 hours to sit it on the chassis, size up and bolt it down to drive away.
Looks much better than the steel module I am making for it.

Hi lndrvrboy, is the photo you have put up of your Defender now? in which case if you do end up swapping to a Land cruiser tray, would you be willing to sell your tub?

If you want to convert a tub type Defender into a trayback you will need a replacement back wall.

    Hi,
Make sure the wheel clearance to the tray is greater than the bump stop clearance on the rear axle. Otherwise you will graunch the tyres crossing ruts in tracks.
    cheers

Yeah will do austastar I will probably lift it up a bit so I can keep the length for dirt bikes and still have a decent departure angle
