    Cider Lovers

Whilst Im away from my homebrew(holidaying in Albany) Im trying some shop bought ciders.
If you want an nice one that will blow your head off grab an Old Rosie at 7.3%.
James Squire Orchard Crush was already my favorite, discovered that last time we were down here.
My new favorite,Rekorderlig Winter Cider,it has vanilla and cinamon. They even say you can drink it warm
Any others you lot have as favorites????

    Rekorderlig Winter is quite OK.

Been drinking cider for 50 years. Mercury Sweet is my all time favourite. Toohey's Five Seeds are second.

Bulmer's to their shame, bought up a number of local cideries in the late 70's-80's and closed them to eliminate competition and increase market share. Price war accounted for most of the other local commercial cideries.

I have tried a few of the local boutique ciders that have appeared in recent years. These to me are like most of the boutique beers, taste funny and grossly overpriced.

I love Little Creatures Pipsqueak cider but it must be off the tap. The bottled stuff is too carbonated.

Mercury Draught has always been a favorite. There is a great little cider place at Harcourt called Henry's. they do something called The Duck & Bull which is great. Unfortunately, most ciders are now made from concentrated apple juice, sugar, water, alcohol and co2. The are not actually fermented or brewed. Most of the concentrate is imported. I guess it's the way of the world.
