    Service centres south of Perth?

    G'day, my D3 TDV6 is due for a 90K service.
I have been taking it to Kevin at Rovertech for the last few services and he has been great.

I live south of Mandurah and was wondering if anyone could recommend any competent mechanics that may be a bit closer for a basic service?

I did ring Rockingham Fleet Services and they said they do Landrovers but don't use genuine parts. Should I be concerned about non genuine parts in regards to filters?

    Cheers in advance.

Kevin will send you a "kit" with all the required parts. This is how I used to service my D2 (which my son now has) in Kalgoorlie. Most times, I got the parts from Kevin, bought the oil & coolant from Westrac in Kalgoorlie, and did the job myself. A couple of times when I was away a lot and did not have the time, I left the car and all filters / belts etc supplied by Kevin and had the service done by a local mechanic who we have been dealing with for years.

These days, because I work in Perth, I pick up the parts etc myself while I'm down here and take them up to Kal - my son is a diesel fitter and he does the servicing himself.

With the D4 - well it doesn't need servicing very often and as I'm down here (in Perth) most of the time anyway, there's no issue.
    Cheers .........

To be honest - I'm not sure for the TDV6 (even though I now own one).

I can tell you what is required in a Td5, but I'm not sure if the same is suitable for the TDV6. If you check out "The Good Oil" on this forum, I'm sure you'll find the right answers in there - that's where I've always gone for that sort of info.
    Cheers .........
