    Public transport, a solution?

Just wonder if a politician will come with this idea to introduce it in one of our cities.........

very interesting , but would probably be a bit difficult in a non grid lay out.on longer traight stretches where there is no corrosponding trams buses or underground/ subways this would be ideal. but as the train into my suburb has yet to arrive , the mythical Kippa-Ring line, mabe these will arrive first so if i want to public trans to town i can.

That would be a good way of moving a heap of people from the burbs to the city in any state.

    Fantastic concept.
Those lanes would have to be clear of trucks, or Defenders with rooftop tents. Didn't seem to be much clearance.

We can't even get a train and ticketing system to work in Melbourne properly, we would have no hope getting that to work.

Also it wouldn't work with the trams still running about.

Looks expensive and there is still dedicated infrastructure that would need to be built.

    Nice idea though.

2.2m clearance. The road would be littered with rooftop tents.

Because have a capacity of 1200 to 1400 passengers perhaps it can be installed on the top of the tollways that are already in trouble.
For sure Mr Fox or TNT will look at it .

Geeze would scare the excrement out of you the first time one passed over and you where not expecting it. Would also be a good way of removing hoons etc. Pulls up over target vehicle, moves away, vehicle now inside.

Wouldn't get it here as we will still be paying off the NBN.
