    2.6 F-head problems

Alright so i have just put a vrs kit through my 2.6 f head and it still miss fires on 3 cylinders, it had a blown head gasket, all the valves were good and i have reset all the valve clearances. has all good compression and its has a stromberg carby on it and im pretty sure its overfueling like crazy, i am thinking of making an adapter plate for a down draft carby. and ideas why its missing? not firing at all on 3 cylinders!

What make of rotor arm is it? There are heaps of new crappo rotor arms available now, which don't work! Try using your old one if you suspect this is the problem, or buy one from the Distributor Doctor in the UK.

Use NGK plugs and good quality leads,

    Cheers Charlie

    Hey

My 2.6 needs plugs and leads replaced every 15-20000 km otherwise it gets a terrible miss. I only use NGK plugs, topgun leads and bosch dissy gear.
usually carry a spare rotor as well.

    cheers
