1957 109 CKD odd engine number

Have series 1 1957 109 CKD with chassis #123700193 body number 109/763 but an odd engine number of N613236P.

Anyone got any ideas about where the engine # comes from? Has VIC reg number plate.

Hi Nick,

Looks like one of the old Police id numbers - could even be a New South Wales on - being N******P. These were issued for vehicles where no number or id was able to be found and sometimes for built up vehicles so that they could be registered.
If the number is it located where the original number should be it is likely the block is a (un-numbered) replacement.

I agree - NSW police supplied number for an un-numbered block - or the number could not be found.

Hi Nick,

Definitely likely to be a NSW Police un-numbered block number.

Veh 123700193 had engine 111704893; Ign key 511; Door key N31 and was a standard vehicle.
Supplied by Grenville Motors in NSW 22.2.57 to Milton Archer Motors.
