    Ultra gauge fitting

    Hi guys,

I received my Ultra Gauge the other day and was planning on fitting it between the Speedo and Rev counter and was thinking how other people had fitted theirs to the defender and location....

Did you remove the fuse door to allow the OBD to stay continuously connected?

    Cheers

    Hi gingz,

I mounted mine on the RHS of the steering wheel using the stalk that was an option when I bought it (serious S bend in it to fit the short distance to the windscreen!). Your plan sounds a good option if the clear plastic's angle isn't too severe.

There are 3 options with the plug -

    1. Loosen the screw that holds it in place so that it recesses by itself with the cover is pushed back.

    2. Leave the cover off (my current setup)

    3. Cut a opening for the top of the plug. I'm sourcing a second cover so that I can go for this option and replace everything to original for services.

    Cheers,

    Lou

Yes the Puma obd2 socket is in a silly place when trying to do realtime road tests.... either gets caught up in your legs and/ or drops out at the critical moment...

    OBD II Right Angle

    Hi people
I was surfing the web the other day for this very problem & noticed lots of OBD II right angle connectors/adapters available some with extension cable attached. Maybe this would be an option?
    Regards Chris
