    Bonnet Deadening

Is there any reason I shouldn't use Dyna mat extreme on the inside of my bonnet?

    Will it be too warm?

    Cheers

Yes, it won't make it as quiet as you think.

Dynomat works great when it is applied to large panel because it stops them from vibrating. The bonnet does do this and some noise will be dampened but you will get a much better result with a heavy vinyl backed closed cell foam with a heat reflector. I got some from whitworths marine for $70. It is heavy and works well. Infact it is so heavy that you need to down well to the bonnet or it will peel off.

I've got a lot of dynomat in my 110 but not under the bonnet. If you are really keen you could put a little around between the braces.

But I think having a rubber seal around the back of the bonnet will make more of a difference, especially with the vinyl backed foam. This is what I've done.
