    Talking What After-market V8's?

Was just wondering what V8's (or V6's) have been fitted into Disco 1's & how complicated was it??
Just a curiosity question, that's all, for now anyway LOL

The brutal truth is that no D1 on the road now is worth it. Adaptor kits plus installation headaches for any engine other than a LR engine cost heaps, let alone the engineering compliance costs. The only cost effective way to get a different engine in a D1/RRC is to purchase someone else's converted D1/RRC.

Or do it yourself, if money is no object and there are no intentions to sell the car... Otherwise there'd be no Land Rovers or Holdens etc restored... ever.

There's a company in the UK selling conversion kits to drop a 2.7TDV6 in.

Not heard of one being done over here though.

It's worth checking out Marks Adaptors and Castlemaine Rod Shops websites for conversion ideas too.

I think 3.0TDV6 would be nice but not as straight forward as the 2.7
    Cheers
