    130 Wheels on a 110 Puma

    Hi,

I was given a set of rims off a 96 130 for my 110 Puma.

I am trying to fit these and the fronts went on ok, but when I went to drive it there was a squealing noise from the rear and a bit of juddering.

When I took one of them back off there was a shiney spot on my brake (caliper I think) and it had rubbed some of the powercoating from the supports on the inside of them rim.

Has anyone else used these on a Puma 110, or is the offset totally wrong for my vehicle?

    thanks

    Richard

It could be that you have a slightly bent stone guard making the noise? I've had 130 wolf rims on my 110 ute with no problems..

I had the same thing happen the first time I put my 2b forward control rims on my Td5 110 (rubbing on the calipers).
As soon as I heard the noise, I took the wheels off & "touched" those points on the rims with an angle grinder - no more noise.

FWIW later 130 rims use a shallower well in the rim and a welded centre (and higher load rating) so no rubbing.

I wasn't sure if they had changed them, but I might just get a big hammer out and tap the corners dowm gently.

I have put the alloys back on for the weekend for now.

    Thanks for the replies.
