Warbirds Downunder

If anybody is interested in old aircraft, the "Warbirds Downunder" airshow will be on in Temora on Sat. 2/11/13. Tickets went on sale today and don't bother trying to book accommodation in Temora, it is all booked out. Unless you want to rough it.We will be staying in Young. Mrs Aus. and myself are looking forward to the show and a chance to give the Nikon a workout.

Might have to see if I can convince SWMBO that we need to make a slight detour. We'll be heading back from Tassie about that time. Might even be able to arrange some accomodation not too far away - used to live in Ardlethan and still know a few people there.

Would definitely love to see that - we don't get anything like it over this way. The only one of the planes on that web site that I've seen is the Constellation - it used to fly to Kalgoorlie every year or so for the Diggers & Dealers conference. Was an impressive sight (and sound) when it went up in the evenings doing low level scenic flights over the town & super pit when it was here - but haven't seen it for a few years now.

I would be going but it clashes with my Air Niugini reunion in BNE. It will certainly be a good show.
