    YOU MUST BE JOKING

No, i'm not. I want to know if anyone has modified the dash in A 110 PUMA UTE.
My left knee hits the angled dash panel next to the centre stack and my right knee jumps up and down on the the little tray/shelf under the tiller.

The seat is as far back as it will go without my body being at an acute angle as driving Uncle Buck is hard enough, thanks.

Since I don't have the bucks or equipment to extend the rear of the cab which is the preferred option, I want to remove some of the dash to free up some much needed space.
If anyone know of a motor trimmer that moulds plastics, well that will be the answer. I will cut out the offending pieces and remould new pieces in to make it look factory.

Right. Now its your turn and don't worry about offending me, I drive a Land Rover.............

    Hey Gasman,

There is a plastic welder at Tuggerah. Ace crescent from memory.

I had him build a new taller battery lid for old D3 for auxiliary battery tray.

He did a pretty good job.

I had a quick look in the phone book seems to be a few about on the Coast.

    Cheers

Thanks for the detailed info Drover. The Ace cres guy's number doesn't go through, so thats a shame as he sounded like the guy for the job.
Anyway, called a few more and they sounded like the old saying "I'm not a gynaecologist, but I can have a look at it anyway".
So I might keep looking, thanks mate.

do you have a smaller steering wheel in it already ?

If not, that could probably release the space you need with less effort.

    ?

    Um..... yes it will
Lifts the rear of the seat, alters the angle, pushes the knees down
I remember gaining only about 30mm but the angle change was much more comfortable
