Laidley Spring Festival

The Laidley community has started the recovery from the recent flood devastation and is looking ahead to hold a great annual Spring Festival.
Visitors are invited to come and see how we celebrate Spring.

There will be the annual Gardens and Flowers Show, Orchid Show, Church displays, Quilt and Craft Expo, arts and craft stalls, street parade and much, much more.
Also there will be entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Stay tuned for more details to be released during the coming months.

The 29th Annual Lockyer Valley Quilt and Craft Expo at Laidley will be held on the 12th 13th and 14th September 2012.
This popular Event will be held at the Uniting Church Complex 45 Patrick Street Laidley Queensland 4341.
Our display includes Quilts, Craft & Fine Arts, Patchwork, Stitchwork, Needlework, Dolls, Bears and much much more.
Demonstrations of various crafts are a valued feature.
Displays of Vintage Trucks, Tractors, Cars and Engines add a nostalgic blend to the event.
Refreshments are available all day in the Courtyard Cafe.
Opening hours are 9am to 4.30pm Thursday and Friday and 9am to 3pm on Saturday. All visitors are most welcome to experience our famous country hospitality.
Our theme is to promote “City to the Bush” and encourage our city cousins to visit us and have a wonderful experience in the Lockyer Valley.
The Expo is a major attraction of the Laidley Spring Festival which is promoted by the Lockyer Valley Regional Council.

Meryll & I had a wonderful time at the Laidley Spring Festival, there was lots to see, good food & lots of local produce to buy.
Here is a few of the mechanical things I enjoyed looking at, & there was lots more of thesre things as well.

I had a call from the lady organising the event.....she will send me details regarding the 2014 Festival and has asked that our club provide a number of classic Land Rovers as exhibits for next year's event.

So we shall run this trip again next year - and I promise you won't have to go solo next time, Wayne! Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

I picked this flyer up at Laidley for the Kalbar Country Day on 19th October & also a brochure for the Laidley Pioneer Village Meseum. The guy i got the brochure off said if we let them know we were coming & how many were coming they would probely put on a BBQ for us . Didn't say if the BBQ was going to cost us anything but entry fee is only $5.
