    Kincrome torque wrench

    Hi,

Does anyone know what the Kincrome deflecting torque wrench's compared to the Warren Brown versions is like.
    Kincrome 1/2"dr deflecting wrench K8030
    Warren Brown model 322500

    Are they better/same/worse ?

    Thanks

essentially the same. they are both good. much better than the dial types.
i would purchase which ever is cheaper. if buying new check warranty.
i have a 3/4" warren and brown which goes up to 400nm. bought from cash converters second hand for $200. brand new they are about $400.
i have been using mine for 3 years in heavy industry and use it on the 110. has been a good purchase.

Import a premium brand from the USA. I bought a Craftsman 1/2" drive 20-250 ft/lbs item for AU$108 + postage when the exchange rate was near par. Have a look at their web site and also look at the Seekonk website. Seekonk make torque wrenches that are more akin to precision instruments than workshop tools. If you buy from USA insist the vendor ship through the US Post Office.

I have 5 or so torque wrenches and torque screwdrivers as well. Have 2 Norbar ones for 20+ years and never out of spec. Were rebranded as Sidchrome among others.
The old adage, buy a good one and keep it for life.

They all have their uses, dial included. Click type no good for setting timing belt tension on a 300TDi.

Kinchrome, I was driving on Ferntree gully road I think it's Scoresby and noticed a sign on the median strip Kinchrome factory out let "Seconds". I haven't checked it out, but if is scratches or bad chrome ,never know could be a possible bargain
