    Classic Trucks

    Hi guys,

I've got a bit of a desire to see some classic type trucks in action. When I say classic, I'm referring to trucks pre 70's (??) and earlier.
There seem to be clubs etc in NSW, but I cant seem to find anything here in Vic. Sometimes they have runs and shows, but I can only seem to find these at great distance from here (Melb).

Does anyone have any info or links as to where I may be able to get some info from, so as to get "closer" access?
Maybe after we've done our travels, I may get the urge to get involved with one of these old girls.

    Cheers

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Trust a Queenslander to find something in Vic for a Victorian.

    Thanks Ian

The Western Sydney Historical Truck Club run a convoy from Sydney to Yass down the old Hume Highway every couple of years, well worth a look if you plan in advance.

I can vouch that on the Sunday Morning the air was ringing with the sound of GM engines for about 4 hours as they awoke and left.

Search for "Crawlin the Hume" and "Haulin the Hume". Crawlin starts in Melb and goes through all the small towns that the original hwy did. Haulin is the same but starts in Sydney and goes through to Yass. We did Haulin the Hume this year in the B61, by far the best truck show I have ever been to.
