    Lower Control arm bushes

    Hi All

Just replaced front control arm bushes, brake pads and .... Set for another 275000k

Craig at Ritters (AKA Christopher ) mentioned bushes tend to last about 100-150000km. Or less if we give our discos a hard life.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo_CPLrRlmY]How to replace lower control arm bushing in 15 minutes- FWD- East Lansing Michigan - YouTube[/ame] showed a nifty on car bush replacement. I think mine may be stuffed.
90K kms & lots of offroad work including mud and sand.

I'll need to view these videos and have a look.
    Thanks Weakestlink

Fairly easy to pick it when they go. Drive over a speed hump, a small log or a bit of 4/2 would do it at about 10-20kph. With your window down the clunk on the way down from the suspension is a almost certain indication a bush is gone. The tools the guy in the first video are clearly not the ones needed for a Disco but I still wonder if the method might work.
But it would not be easy with out a hoist!
