Calm on an emergency landing

Two young pilots who were at the controls of a light aircraft which was forced to make an emergency landing in Queensland have been praised for their calm actions.

one i flew about 12 months ago, had an engine failure the next flight.

Not really. All I heard is that the engine manufacturer has said it was a once off production failure. From memory that engine had its 1000hourly overhaul done only 25 hours earlier.

I know the instructor in the incident & can say that if I was in an aircraft that had problems, he's the bloke I'd want to have on board!!!!
