    My recently purchased D3

Has a 2 second lag when the accelerator is depressed.

It makes negotiating traffic frustrating and at times dangerous.

Is there a remedy for this?

Is all quite normal and applies to many other brands. You need to learn to drive with it - eg keep accelerator slightly on when coming ot stops etc.

Some say it is turbo lag but I believe it is the gearbox not completely changing right down and when you put your foot down the gearbox hesitates before going into the lower gear.

Try driving in Command Shift as a test and I think you will find that the issue is minimized but it is not nice driving in command shift around town.

A combination of the latest software for the gearbox and a remap of the engine map will just about make the lag disappear.

    I recommend a BAS remap:
