sport mode not showing

hi there. i removed my center consol.anothe story.when i put back i made the mistake of using a silicone spray on some parts
firstly the gears would not release from park.and the selector would not show any refernce to any gears selected in sport mode.
took apart and applied compressed air.now working out of reverse.
that stopped again.pulled out the shifter box and blew out with air,still not working.drives well but cant use sport.does anyone have any suggestions for me

You haven't indicated what vehicle but I assume it is a D3/RRS. This section is more about the actual electronic sytems used to solve issues. Maybe get this moved to the vehicle specific area (D3/D4/RRS or L322 etc) and you might get an appropriate response.
