Tools to carry in my Defender

I am looking to make up a tool kit to carry in my 96 Defender. Has anyone got a list of frequently used items including spanner and socket sizes!
Not that I am any great wiz on the spanners but it would be good to at least only carry what I really need!!
    Any help would be appreciated
    Cheers

On our lang jaunts we usually take a fairly comprehensive tool kit. Usually consisting of

Set of sockets both Metric and Imperial
A selection of both Phillips head and slotted screwdrivers
Set of combo spanners from 8mm to 21mm
    Multigrips
    Good set of pliers
    Needle nose pliers
    Circlip pliers
    Hacksaw
    Vicegrips
    Pincers
    File
    Cold chisel
    Hammer

Then there is a selection of spare parts like hoses belts etc.

The further out we go the more we tend to take. If going with a few vehicles we try and share tools to save double ups and keep the weight down
