			D3 V8 Brake Pads

					Hi Guys,

Front pads on the D3 4.4l V8 are getting low.

Currently running TRW pads, no problems, except for the usual dust and shorter life than i expected, approx 40K.

 Any suggestions for replacement pads?

Also, what is the min/max thickness spec of the rotors?

 Thanks
 Ben

					Gday Ben

I can supply you with TRW pads if you like. Fronts and rears are $65 each
 Sensors are $15 per wheel.
I can get also get disks for $70 for fronts and $65 for rears.
Pad and disk life is hard to estimate due to many factors, such as driving style and weight. Dont forget a local vehicle will have many more brake applications per klm than one driving down a freeway.
I know of a few people that get less than 30k from brakes in their Astra including disks!
As for disk thickness, i think the min for front is 27mm and rear 17mm.

Let me know if you want some.
Call me on 8369 2831 at work.
 cheers
 Todd

					Hi Ben
The brand of rotor and sensors is Protex and pads TRW. The same as i have in my Disco.
They have warehouses in most capital cities so if someone wants some in say, Brisbane, Adelaide or Sydney thats not a problem.

 cheers
 Todd
