    More help on part ID

    howdy all,

yesterday i decided to fill the main gear box and the transfer box with oil as i waited for the prop shafts to dry. Tonight as i fitted the front prop shaft i got a drop of oil on my glasses, this resulted in a colourful word

i have attached a photo of the suspect oil leak spot, my questions are:

1: is the flange the prop is connected to the out put shaft flange/
2: what seal do you think i need to replace?

cheers for your time and knowledge
    Josh

Yes, it's the output shaft flange. Any bearing shop should be able to supply you with a seal .The number is P 3014. The old Land rover part no. is 236417. The measurements are 1.625 x 2.500 x 0.375. .W.
