    Main difference between years ?

Yup still looking what is the main difference between the years , do i buy a 2006 or tip in a bit more and buy a 2009 with less k's .The k's are only about 20 k difference on average .
A few dealers seem to have cars sitting around for 6 moths , should this be concern ?

A raft of common issues was fixed in the MY07 models including steering, suspension, EU3 updated to EU4 emissions, software less likely to throw up codes over silly things, MY08 and up had a few changes to the interior (at least it did on the Sport), not sure if anything else.

It is said that MY07+ has issues with the oil pump housing (TDV6), but the survey the poms are conducting seems to conclude that it is affecting all model years. The earlier engines seem more like to spin main bearings even with scheduled servicing, although in many instances this can be traced to incorrect oil. That said, the rate of failure of the TDV6 is still very low and certainly nothing like the Nissan 3.0L.

Later into the Lifespan of any model series you can always guarantee less issues as the common bugs/faults get ironed out.

Normally by the end of the series whilst no doubt still having some potential issues you get more bang for your buck as they add more features in to keep the model fresh and less things to go wrong.

Used to have a mate who would always buy the last of the model series before the new one came out, always seemed to work for him.
