i have a 1998 4.0 rangie that vibrates through the floor under throttle. it has rubber discs mounted to the front and rear diff housing to take out dynamic vibration but this dosen't seem to work. Has anyone heard of this or does someone know of a fix to this

As far as I am aware your model has a chain drive in the transfer case and if the gears and chain are worn, then a vibration can happen under load and would be felt like a rumble through the body as well as through the seat of your pants. You don't mention if it happens at all speeds or a specific range, if at all speeds suspect chain if at certain speeds then could be worn slides in the prop shafts.

If it vibrates under power but not when you back off it might be worth checking your uni joints on the propshafts. I had the same problem and didn't know what it was until it was too late. My front uni joint seized, snapped off and the propshaft smashed a hole in the side of my gearbox.
