what type/brand of oil did you have in it?
I ve just finished changing the oil in the disco's t case and found that
it is quite burnt and very metalic!
has anyone got any ideas for me? am a little worried at this.
oil has only done 10 000k's :?

Thats the thing! there is no noise at all, factory gear lash, no leaks
and all the teeth i can see are ok? I use shell 80-90w?
When I first did an oil change after getting my landy (although it is a bit older than yours), it was quite thick and very metallic.
I was assured by a mechanic that it wasn't unusual to get that from regular use. That didn't really stop me worrying however.
As for the burnt colour, how much oil did you get out? as much as you put in, or noticeably less?
