    Awesome

    Loved the video

I'm new to LRs, having just purchased a D4.

Is a stock standard D4 capable of those tracks or does it need extra mods (diff locks, GOE etc..) to attempt successfully some of those wheel lifts and ramp ups ?

    No Mods required.

You may find that GOE Rods or LLAMS will help to give a little extra height when really required. A decent set of At's will help as well. Other than that nothing really. The cars do this out of the box

    Pretty much achievable as standard.

Tyres will make a difference. Rods or Llams also make a difference in control over clearance but the car will get there without them either, you just may need to ground before you get the full height options whilst those with rods or Llams can choose that height before they ground.

Some protection like rock sliders and compressor guards are a good idea for peace of mind but not necessary from a performance perspective, just for peace of mind.

I don't think anyone there will have had diff locks, some may have had the optional e-diff, but many didn't either.

Like every one else said, most of the cars are basically stock, a couple with LLAMS, a few like my D3 had GOE rods, only a couple had e-diffs. The cars can just do it.

In the video just near the beginning you may have noticed that my D3 (RM169) which was using LLAMS and an eDiff lifted it's passenger front wheel quite high. This is partially because of the lines I took on purpose to exaggerate the lift for the video but also with LLAMS or Rods being used it limits the downward travel of the wheels thus more spectacular video.

The downside of having the car lifted was obvious in the second display of my D3 as it bounced more because of the limited down travel.
As I said it was for the camera's!

    Thanks for all the comments.

You have given me confidence to give it a go. I previously had a Prado, so am keen to see how the LR goes in comparison.

I still have new original road rubber, so I guess will need to lower the pressures to achieve some improved traction, but keen to try.

Just a bit more about that day, there were 2 stock D3s and 1 stock D4, if you notice in the photo at the beginning of the video, the two D4s on the right are stock and there are more stock cars in there too if you look.

These are very capable vehicles, as other have said, get some good rubber and get out there, you'll be amazed how good they are offroad, one point, approach obstacles slowly and ease over them, just like all the vehicles were doing in the video, the 4WD system works better this way, your mates are going to hate you now

Here's a couple of vids to give you an idea of how good they are, a couple of guys in Patrols tried this hill and couldn't make it, listen to the voices in the background
