Spark Plugs for 3.5EFI on Dual Fuel?

G'day Guys,

I know its been asked before, but I'm going to ask again:

Which Spark Plugs for 3.5EFI on Dual Fuel?

Currently have NGK BP5ES and in the progress of installing the gas and need to do a service at the same time.

Any input would be appreciated,

THX in advance,

Spark plugs for 3.5 EFI on Duel Fuel

Hi, LRHydrid 100,

I've a 3.9 V8i which I just converted to LPG they recommend
to use one-range colder and non resistor type NGK Vee-Groove
spark plugs and low resistant stainless steel plug leads

Your LPG installer should be able to advise you.

Because I had a service prior to fitting conversion, am still running
std plugs. however on 1500 Klm LPG check being done next week
and will get leads fitted then.
Will fit "V" groove at next service.

You'll love the diffrence in the back pocket LPG makes

Hope this assists,

Cheers!!!

Spark plugs for 3.5 EFI on Duel Fuel?

LRH,

I've had a Sprintgas (Aust) unit fitted. by Mews Auto gas (Perth)
with lube kit

Because the Disco's doesen't accommodate a tank underneath, the most
popular conversion (here in the west) seems to be 3 x cylinder tanks
(look like scuba tanks) fitted inside vehicle with 63 usable litres.
Normal tank takes too much room and doesn't leave much usable space,
when there wasen't much to begin with anyway

I've fitted board accross top covered in fabric (over tanks) with narrow
pull out drawer to store gear underneath, lost approx 210mm for
tanks, but gives flat floor in back, with disco's high roof line you don't
loose much in the end. I will post photo's when I figure out how to

Because tanks are small we fill up approx 2-3 times a week averaging
approx 180 kms for tank @ $16.00c (per tank) better than the $80.00c +
on petrol per week!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps you out

G'day Baggy,

The kit I am currentley installing is a Sprintgas system too - but with the 100L tank in the back of the seats. What is the lube kit?

Be interested to see how the performance and fuel economy goes with your LPG set up.

I tried the bosch 4 pronged plugs at about $8ea. Don't bother, the standard plugs were just as good on the Rangie [dual fuel] . I did notice an improvement with the bosch plugs in the 2.25 series III though.

Spark plugs for 3.5 EFI on duel Fuel?

LRH,

Flashlube oiler recommended by installer of LPG, basically a 400mm
container of special oil lubricant which runs off engine vacumn. fed into
motor and lubricates valves, seals etc which would normally be done
by petrol. Lasts approx 1500 klms before refilling.

Whether it does or not don't know, howver I do know that a lot of
couriers here in the West always run them with their LPG conversions.

Check with your LPG installer.

Cheers!!!!!
