    Extra fuel tank for 110

Has anybody fitted an axillary fuel tank behind the rear wheel on a 110 that was generic, ie out of a different vehicle or fitted a plastic water tank as a fuel tank, just looking for ideas[and to get the jerry can off the back door]

Daniel at MULGO installed the aux 45l tank from (I think) Front Runner on my 2008 110 Puma wagon.

Sits behind the rear wheel. No pump, just gravity feeds into the existing tank. With my uneconomic city driving I'm getting around 900kms before the fuel light comes on. If I were out doing longer journeys I'm sure I could get a thousand out of it without a problem, particularly if I did something about the lead foot!

I have been looking at these from Mulgo. If it sits behind the rear wheel, does the tank affect the off road performance at all?

    Thanks

Anyone know if the Front Runner tank will work with the 120lt Long Ranger fuel tank I have, I'd love an extra 48lt to increase my range a bit.

No, they are tucked up out of the way.

    What he said

Though a big ask to get a thousand out of it. I drove mine very steady for a tank included highway miles and the best I ever got was 950klm but that was stretching out the yellow light. I suppose it could be done getting a thousand but you'll be stressing about where it's going to strand you that last 50klm.

Keep a 20L Gerry and you'll be able to plan your fuel stops better.

I think this is what RVR110 has, and it restricts tyre size, 255/85r16s hit for example.
This definately affects off road performance...

Does not affect offroad performance, but if you go bigger tyres they may touch, but we are talking about fairly larger rolling diameter tyres.
I have one fitted to my 110 and have no issues. For it to foul on the tank it would foul on the guards as wll, so the tank will not make it worse.
